Between the 3-5 of June I had the opportunity to visit the Inverse Trade Mission to La Rioja, which was held in the capital of the region, Logroño.
After a missed plane due to storm, meeting Keanu Reeves and spending an extra night in Amsterdam I finally arrived to the fair where I had the pleasure to meet various fine Rioja producers. I got to try their different wines, from traditional crianzas, Old Vines Graciano to modern wines based on new techniques and grapes such as the White Tempranillo.
Temperatures were rising as we went to the vines and later in the evening visited the Riojano Joven y Fresco, a street fair where consumers could taste the new vintage of whites and roses for a small price. Allover an exciting trip and good fun to meet new as well as old contacts.
