Just like the vines themselves, the family’s story tracks back to the very roots of Marlborough winemaking. In 1990, Allan and his wife Catherine founded Allan Scott Family Winemakers, one of the region’s first independent wineries. 

Allan Scott Family Winemakers was born, as a testament to Allan’s lifelong devotion to the vine. Since settling in Marlborough in 1973, Allan’s journey from humble beginnings to his own winery reads like a love story, each step guided by a passion that knows no bounds.

Though the winery has continuously evolved over the past 30-plus years, the philosophy behind the wines remains steadfast. With their diverse series, Allan Scott Winery produces distinctive, fruity wines that highlight their origins in various areas of Marlborough. Beyond the Estate range, the winemakers demonstrate their expertise with prestigious wines crafted from the finest grapes grown in individual vineyards, further enriching their portfolio with the Cecilia series of sparkling wines.
