I Can’t Believe It’s NOTella by Glen Affric Brewery
Totally NOT inspired by a certain chocolate & hazelnut spread with a not-at-all similar name.
This porter is richly decadent with mountains of cacao powder added for a smooth chocolate hit, alongside creamy vanilla and allergy-safe hazelnut extract for a luxurious, velvety finish.
Malty, roasted taste with sweetness, hints of chocolate cake, hazelnuts, marzipan, dried fruit, butterscotch and coffee.
Served at 12-14°C as a companion drink or with chocolate desserts.
Vintage Port by Borges
Vintage Port is a fortified red wine made from a single year’s harvest. It is only made in exceptional years – typically around three times a decade – and is ‘declared’ by the Port producers. It’s a rare wine that can age and develop for decades if stored properly.
Intense, dark ruby colour. Very intense aroma, with notes of red fruits, like mulberries and raspberries, infolded in hints of mature black plums, eucalypt and spices revealing an year of great maturation. The wine shows a great balance between sweetness and acidity and the taste reflects the aromatic sensations which will linger into a very persistent finish enhanced by the big volume and the structure given by the firm and present tannins.
Serve at around 18°C with well-aged hard or green cheeses, or pastries containing dark berries or chocolate.
